The stunning picturesque beaches and windmills of Hannah’s Beach Resort and Convention Center are proving to be a favorite destination among beauty pageant organizers all over the country.
The 30 candidates of Mutya ng Pilipinas 2017 packed heat and sizzle in front of their fans and supporters at glittery rites at this popular resort in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte over the weekend.
During the show, all 30 gorgeous ladies walked down the ramp with poise and elegance, which looked almost like a preview of things to come on the pageant’s coronation night on August 4, 2017.
Each candidate gracefully walked the runway before judges, the members of the media and the general audience.
In the end, Savannah Mari Gankiewics, a 21 year old model from Hawaii, edged out 29 other ladies to win the coveted Best in Swimsuit award which comes with a P20,000 cash prize and sash. Gankiewics, who traces her roots in Abra province, is not a neophyte when it comes to pageants as she has participated in other pageants like Miss Virginia Teen USA in 2013 and Miss Super Talent of the World two years after.
Gankiewics also showed her elegance and spontaneity in this pageant by bagging Miss Mutya ng Pilipinas-Hannah’s 2017 first runner up.
Miss Navotas Jannie Loudette Alipo-on and Arianne Deseree Viado from Pampanga came in second and third respectively. Alipo-on was also hailed as Best in Resort’s Wear and Miss Mutya ng Pilipinas-Hannah’s 2017.
Louise Lian Enumerable representing Negros Island Region was named Miss Photogenic while California’s Suzanne Perez was adjudged Miss Mutya ng Pilipinas-Hannah’s 2017 2nd runner up.
Apart from these ladies, the resort could also be considered a runway winner as it has proven its clout and might as a resort host that offers world class amenities and facilities and strong capabilities in staging big scale pageant events. Retired Philippine Air Force Col. Ricardo Nolasco Jr. has truly put Pagudpud back to our tourism map because of his relentless passion for travel and ecotourism.
Miss Universe 2011 3rd Runner Up Shamcey Supsup-Lee, Miss World 2016 3rd Runner Up Catriona Gray, top pageant blogger Norman Tinio and Sash Factor founder Brix Vera also graced the event.
The 49th annual Mutya ng Pilipinas grand coronation night will be on August 4, 2017 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater, Resorts World Manila.
